Protection in Return!!!

Environment means everything that surrounds us. It is what sustains our life. It gives us basic needs such as food and water. Human life is dependent to the environment. The moment we were born, we need environment to survive. But now, our environment is in danger. Environmental issues emerged. These problems are due to human activities. Human impact on the environment has become one of the main topics for university staff all over the world. But before it gets even worst, think now and open our eyes. Our environment needs our protection. What should we do? What can we do? How do we do?

There are many ways on how to care and protect our environment. Starting from simple things like cleaning and proper waste disposal. I know everyone of us can do even just in our respective homes and communities. Cleaning and proper waste disposal is the first step towards a clean and healthy environment. Second, picking up trashes and proper segregation should also be put in mind. Don't be ashamed to pick up trash! It is not bad thing. It is for the cleanliness of our environment. Learn also to sort garbage. Some trash can be biodegradable and some are non-biodegradable. Third, we should know the 3r's; reduce, reuse, recycle. Reduce garbage and don't be wasteful. There are already enough garbage wasted and dumped on our environment. Reuse, use things again and again. Use them if they can still be used and not straight to the trash. Recycle resources for reuse. This can also promote our creative minds. We can make other valuable things out of trashes. Fourth, plant trees. Planting trees is also one way to show care for our environment. About 15 billion trees are lost annually to deforestation. And that causes lost of habitat to some species, increase in temperature, landslides, or even flood. We can't restore what's been removed but I know we can replace them. We should plant more trees because we can't live without them. Trees are the main source of oxygen that we breathe. Lastly, participate in activities that promotes clean and healthy environment conducted in communities. This kind of activities not just helps in protecting our environment but also promotes social life.

As humans, we should know the importance of a clean and healthy environment. It is the source of our needs and we need to care and protect it. Also, humans are not the only ones who are affected. Lives of many species too. All of living creatures are in danger as the environment is slowly dying. Before it get to that point, we need to take actions. Because we humans, granted a critical and thoughtful mind and the freedom to do whatever we want, we should be looking for the betterness of our environment. Because if not, who will do? The turtles? The birds? The ants? The trees? As the 7th principles says, "Nature is beautiful and we are the stewards of God's creation"

Now think again. What should we do? We should really making a move now. Educate ourselves and think the importance of having a clean and healthy environment. What can we do? We can do simple thing and simple things count. Be discipline in every move we make. Don't do things that will destroy our environment. Instead, do things that can help to protect it. How do we do? Don't just do it if we feel to. Apply it as a part of our daily lives. Always think the best for our environment. Be aware of what you are doing. Because at the end of the day, we are the ones who are affected. Always remember that, "A clean healthy environment is equals to a clean and healthy living."
