ONE OUT OF FOUR
In this quarter, my head was filled with new knowledge and discoveries. I encountered a lot of new words and were added to my vocabulary. I learn new things not only in some subject but in every subjects. I encountered new concepts that I know it will help me in the future. I get to know how to make my own blog and posted my thoughts in a certain topic. I read and listened to stories that’s full of lessons and life changing speeches. I also learned more about environmental issues and the risks they carry. In addition, I learned solutions and laws implemented to address these kind of issues. I also learned about the geological features and activities and what to do before, during and after them. Deeper understanding about the different steps and what should be considered in making a research paper. My knowledge was expanded and encountered new formulas and concepts in dealing numbers. I also learned the importance of moral and intellectual values in everyday life and how to make decisions based on conscience. I gained new knowledge in physical education and health, and new styles in music and arts. And lastly, I was introduced to a new subject which contains interesting topics about electronics.
Of course, challenges and problems in studying can’t be avoided. Learning alone is hard. It’s hard to divide and distribute time to specific subject and some activities require lots of time to complete. I got distracted to many things like social media and online games and that made me waste time. So I need to extend my time on studying. I sleep late or even skip meals only to finish the tasks. I know it’s my fault. Other than that, I also help in doing household chores and the modules of my siblings because my parents aren’t always around the house and as the eldest child, I know it’s my responsibility. One of the problems I also encountered is slow internet connection. Since we’re doing modular learning, we need internet to search for topics that is related to our subject. And also “online kamustahan and discussions”. Sometimes I run out of data and cannot cope up with the discussion. Those are the only problems I encountered.
The solution I made to addressed the first problem and challenge is making a schedule. I’ve read on the internet that setting goals will help you get better focus and avoid potential distractions much better. So, I set up a daily goals. I listed/put in mind the tasks and activities I need to finish by the end of the day. Of course, I also implanted in my head the importance of time management. I realized that studying alone is hard so I decided not to procrastinate and waste time. I made the deadlines as a motivation for me to finish the activities and tasks. So before I do what I want to do, I make sure that every work I have set for the day must be finished no matter what. By that, I passed all my activities in the right time. And in my free time, I helped my parents in doing chores and the modules of my siblings. The problem with the connection, I can’t do anything about that but whatever I’ve missed in the discussion, I asked my classmates and also teachers for clarification.
Moving on, I will continue to fill myself with new knowledge. I won’t stop learning new things because I know it will help me in the future. I won’t stop facing problems and won’t stop making solutions to them. The one fourth is now done and I survived. I will do my best to also survive in the next quarters. I won’t stop achieving my dreams and goals in life even though obstacles are ahead of me. This is one out of four in the fourth year of high school life. Fighting!!!!
