CHILDREN IN NEW NORMAL; THEIR RIGHTS IS A MUST
2021
National Children's Month Celebration with the theme: “New Normal Na Walang
Iwanan: Karapatan ng Bawat Bata Ating Tutukan!” (No One is Left Behind under
the New Normal: Focus on Children’s Rights) focuses on the children’s rights in
the middle of health crisis. The DSWD said they will give attention to the
difficulties experienced by children in the new normal setting and address
concerns on their rights to survival, development, protection, and
participation. This is so important because children are the future of this
country. Their rights is needed to be secured. Children needs to survive as
they will someday contribute for the betterness of this place. They need to be developed
in order for them to be prepared for a bigger responsibilities and for the
challenges in life. They need to be protected too for they are vulnerable to
the deadly disease. Protect them at all cost because one day, a child from
today will be a leader for the future. Their life is important. The right of
participation is also needed to look upon to. Children are part of the community
and their participation is important. It is part of their development. As they
participate, they will gain more confidence and learn new knowledge. Their
participation is also important so that they will share and raise their
concerns. This will lead to understanding the situation of every child and to
make idea on what the authorities should do.

I totally agree with you! Children are the nation's hope, so we must do our best to safeguard them by simply respecting and promoting their rights as youth. We should not stop children from participating in the community, but rather encourage them to do so, especially if it will benefit their development. Keep up the good work, Dom!
